What do I do when I arrive for my dental appointment?

A lot has changed over the last 8 months. Our clinic has put several safety measures in place to ensure your safety and the safety of the staff. The front door is locked and only patients with a scheduled appointment will be brought into the office. You must call the office at 705-560-4000 upon arrival someone will come down to screen you for COVID-19 take your temperature and have you watch a short Doctor video on the risks of COVID-19 in the dental office. You will be asked to sanitize your hands, and someone will escort you up into the office.

How long will my dental restoration last?

A common misconception is that dental restorations last forever but unfortunately, this is rarely true. With time dental restorations may break down or become loose, allowing decay to enter the area around the restoration and become problematic. Although you can’t expect your fillings, bridges, and crowns to last forever, you can do your part to make them last as long as possible. Maintain great oral hygiene and visit your dentist regularly to keep those restorations in great condition for as long as possible.

What exactly is a cavity?

A cavity is simply a small hole in the tooth that develops as a result of tooth decay. In other words, decay eats away at the tooth and results in a void space that disrupts the structure of the tooth. It is important to get cavities repaired because they will continue to grow larger with time.

When should I take my child to the dentist?

It is important to start your child early! There are a number of reasons why. We evaluate and promote beneficial, healthy home-care, and make sure that there are no dental issues in the first visit.

Do I need to go to the dentist every 6 months?

How often you go to the dentist depends on your own oral health. The goal is to catch small problems early and maintain your overall dental health regularly.

Can you bill my insurance directly?

Our office can directly bill to most dental insurance companies.
